The senior from McKinney, Texas, had at least one TFL in 13 of 14 games. He also forced three fumbles on the season, including on sacks in consecutive road wins at Arkansas and Oklahoma State.
A senior from McKinney, Texas, Banogu routinely visits local elementary and middle schools in a mentoring role with area youth. Additionally, he has been involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Banogu also appears on watch lists for the Chuck Bednarik Award and Bronko Nagurski Trophy as well as being a nominee for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
