ROME, Italy â€" Two-time NCAA national champion and TCU alum Ronnie Baker continued his hot streak on Thursday at the IAAF Rome Diamond League. Baker picked up his third win in three weeks and set the world's fastest wind-legal time.
Battling against 2017 world silver medalist Christian Coleman, Baker raced to a 9.93 finish, the fastest wind legal time of his career and the fastest time in the world. Last week, at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Ore., Baker ran 9.78, the fastest of his career, but was wind assisted.
Earlier this season, Baker ran 9.97 at the Torrance Mt. SAC Relays, the fastest in the world at the time. Two weeks ago, he ran 10.00 at the Kingston International Invitational and took home the win.
