
Twelve Equestrians Named NCEA All-Academic

Named to the Farnam NCEA All-Academic First Team were Laska Anderson, Carly Lombard, and Josie Mootz. To be named to the First Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.5 GPA and have competed in a minimum of 70 percent of meets, not including demo or exhibition rides.
Named to the Farnam NCEA All-Academic Second Team were Jamie Cook, Mady Fithian, Patty Gill and Elena Hurd. To be named to the Second Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.25 GPA and have competed in a minimum of 60 percent of meets, not including demo or exhibition rides.
Named to the Farnam NCEA All-Academic Honorable Mention Team were Carley Barnett, Elizabeth Bohn, Marah Huston, Marisa Malevitis and Jayme Omand. To be named Honorable Mention, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.00 GPA and have competed in a minimum of 50 percent of meets, not including demo or exhibition rides.
By the Numbers
The Frogs had 12 selections this year to the NCEA's All-Academic teams, the most in program history. TCU has a total of 54 selections with this year's additions.
Omand has been named All-Academic for the third time in her career, becoming the sixth Horned Frog to do so. Huston is All-Academic for the second time in her career. The other 10 Frogs all earned the honor for the first time.
TCU has now 20 First Team selections, 12 Second Team, and 22 Honorable Mention in its history.
