No. 25 TCU looks for a third-straight tournament championship
FORT WORTH, Texas—The No. 25 TCU women's golf team returns to action Friday when it begins play at the Battle at the Beach in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
When Last in Action
TCU will compete just days after capturing the Jim West Challenge for its second consecutive victory. The Horned Frogs won the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational and the Jim West Challenge, marking the first pair of back-to-back championships out of the 20 tournaments won during head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin's 25-year tenure at TCU. The Horned Frogs shot a school record 11-under-par 853 as a team at the Jim West Challenge with Annika Clark, Sabrina Iqbal and Grace Do finishing in the top-10 individually.
The Event
TCU is playing in the Battle at the Beach, hosted by Baylor, for the second consecutive fall season.
The 2018 Battle at the Beach will be played at the par 71, 6,202-yard Golf Course Club Campestre in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
Friday and Saturday will have a 10:30 a.m. CDT shotgun start. Sunday's final round is at 9:15 a.m. CDT.
The Field
Joining TCU in the 17-team field are Auburn, Baylor, Clemson, Denver, Houston, Iowa, Mississippi State, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Tulane, Tulsa, UAB, Vanderbilt and Virginia.

The Lineup
TCU's lineup will be Annika Clark, Sabrina Iqbal, Grace Do, Greta Bruner and Valeria Pacheco. Yeji Shin will play as an individual.
Clark tied for seventh with a 4-under 212 at the Jim West Challenge. It marked the senior's second consecutive top-10 finish and the eighth of her career. She leads the Horned Frogs with a 72.0 stroke average.
Iqbal also tied for seventh at the Jim West Challenge with a 4-under 212. The freshman from San Jose, Calif., has carded a round of 68 at the past two tournaments, including her individual co-victory at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational. Iqbal is second on TCU with a 72.4 stroke average.
Do tied for 10th at the Jim West Challenge for her first career top-10 result. The sophomore and Coppell, Texas, native posted a career-low opening round of 69, leading to a 3-under 213 which marks her best score as a Horned Frog.
Bruner carded her fourth eagle of the season at the Jim West Challenge, where she had opening and final rounds of 72. The junior from The Woodlands, Texas, finished sixth with a 1-over 145 at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational en route to TCU's first team victory of the season. Bruner has a stroke average of 73.6.
Pacheco posted rounds of 72 in both of the previous tournaments. The freshman earned a top-20 finish at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational in her second tournament as a Horned Frog.
Shin, a native of Norwood, N.J., will make her season debut at the Battle at the Beach.
