TCU in action for the first time since their Maryb S. Kauth Invitational Championship
FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team returns to action Sunday when it begins play at the Jim West Challenge in San Marcos, Texas.
When Last in Action
The Horned Frogs will be competing for the first time since winning the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational earlier this month (Oct. 14-16) in San Antonio. TCU freshman Sabrina Iqbal was a co-medalist after carding a 1-under-par 143 in the tournament that was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather.
TCU set a school record for lowest round with a 9-under 279 in first-round action.
The Event
TCU is playing in the Jim West Challenge for a third consecutive fall. The Horned Frogs were seventh last year with their 865 tying for the third-best 54-hole score in program history. Individually, Annika Clark equaled a school record with a 54-hole score of 210, including a final-round 68, to finish 12th.
This year's Jim West Challenge will be held at the par 72, 6,185 yard Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos.
Thirty-six holes will be played Sunday with 18 Monday. Sunday will have a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
The Field
In addition to TCU and host Texas State, the 15-team field includes Florida State, Houston, Memphis, Miami (Fla.), Mississippi State, Missouri, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and UNLV.

The Lineup
TCU's lineup will be Sabrina Iqbal, Annika Clark, Greta Bruner, Valeria Pacheco and Grace Do.
In just her second collegiate tournament, Iqbal was the co-medalist at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational. The freshman from San Jose, Calif., had a career low opening-round 68 en route to a 1-under 143. She is tied for the team lead with a 73.4 stroke average.
Clark was just one stroke off the lead at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational, tying for fourth with an even-par 144. It was the seventh career top-10 finish for the lone senior in the TCU lineup. The Highlands, Texas, native has a team-best 72.8 stroke average and will be playing in her 33rd career tournament for the Horned Frogs.
Bruner is tied for second with a 73.4 season mark. The junior from The Woodlands, Texas, was sixth at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational with a 1-over 145. Dating back to last season, she has three top-10 finishes in her last seven tournaments.
Pacheco tied for 18th at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational for her first career top-20 result. The freshman from Hallandale Beach, Fla., had an opening-round 72. She has a 75.8 season average.
Do has played in all 12 tournaments with three top-20 finishes in her two years as a Horned Frog. She has a 76.0 season mark.
