COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The TCU men's and women's cross teams continue their seasons on Saturday, returning to College Station for the second time this fall to compete at the Arturo Barrios Invitational.
MEET INFO
The meet will take place at Dale Watts cross country course, the site for this year's NCAA South Central Regional meet. TCU will compete against a competitive field that features six schools from the Big 12, four from the SEC, and several from the South Central region. The field includes a pair of ranked teams with Oklahoma State's men at No.24, their women at No. 29, and Middle Tennessee State's men at No. 28.
The men's 8,000m race will begin at 9 a.m., with the women's 6,000m to follow at 9:45 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The women's team last competed at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, where they ran against many of the nation's top teams. Several Frogs improved their season marks, including Evelyn Mandel (21:25.3), Kirsten Johnston (22:14.1), Elizabeth Baker (23:21.4), and Erin Barth (23:48.8).
The men last ran at the Texas A&M Invitational, where a trio of freshman led the way for TCU. Lakelin Conrad was the top finisher with a mark of 26:04.0, followed by Sean Byrne at 26:40.0, and Blaine Stuart at 26:56.2.
