
TCU Opens Homestand Friday; Hosts Arizona State

FORT WORTH - The No. 1 TCU baseball team opens up a four-game homestand Friday night when it hosts Arizona State. First pitch for the three-game series is set for 6:30 p.m. at Lupton Stadium.
STARTING ROTATIONS
Friday: Brian Howard vs. Eli Lingos
Saturday: Nick Lodolo vs. Ryan Hingst
Sunday: Jared Janczak vs. Spencer Van Scoyoc

A HAPPY RETURN
While he was able to play in 14 games last season, Nolan Brown was limited to just three at-bats due to a hand injury.
Brown made the most of his return to the lineup a successful one. He's the lone Horned Frog to hit safely in all four games this season, leading the club with a .583 batting average. Of his seven hits, two have gone for extra bases. His five RBIs are tops on the squad and second in the Big 12.
FRESH FACES
While the roster is littered with returning players, there are 11 newcomers as well. This past weekend, fans had the chance to see eight of those.
Six of the eight debuted on the mound with two others, Zach Humphreys and Austin Ingraham, debuting in the field.
Sunday's game featured four freshmen pitchers in Nick Lodolo, Jake Eissler, Cal Coughlin and Haylen Green.
Charles King and Austin Boyles made their collegiate debuts on Saturday.
TOUGH WITH TWO
The Frogs have made their opponents work for the third out in almost every inning of the season. Seventeen of TCU's 34 runs scored over the first four games came when there were two outs in the inning.
Eight Horned Frogs have tallied at least one two-out RBI this season. Nolan Brown, Mason Hesse, Evan Skoug, Connor Wanhanen and Cam Warner each tallied two.
Conversely, TCU has limited its two opponents to just nine runs over the first four games, three of which were scored with two out.
SPEEDY FROGS
After just one stolen base in the first two games, TCU has exploded for 11 stolen bases in the last two games, including six in Sunday's win.
The Frogs stole six bases in a game once last season against Abilene Christian on March 22. It's the most stolen bases since the Frogs swipe seven against West Virginia in 2015.
The Horned Frogs pace the Big 12 with 12 total stolen bases and 14 stolen base attempts. Six Frogs have tallied a stolen base this season, led by four from Austen Wade.
RUN FACTORY
TCU is averaging 8.5 runs per game through the first four games of the season. TCU has pushed across a run in 15 of 33 offensive innings this season, including multiple runs in 11 of those innings.
Last year, runs were aplenty. The Frogs scored a run in 207 offensive innings, including multiple runs in 113 innings. On 38 occasions, the Frogs tallied four or more runs in an inning.
