CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- TCU's Angela Stanford has been selected to the Women's Golf Coaches Association Players Hall of Fame.
Stanford will be inducted Dec. 10 in Las Vegas. The WGCA, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches.
Stanford is TCU's only four-time WGCA All-American. She won a school record 10 tournaments in her collegiate career. Her four titles as a senior, including the 2000 Western Athletic Conference Championship, set a TCU season mark. She was also the WAC Player of the Year in 1999.
In 2010, her first year of eligibility, Stanford was inducted into the TCU Lettermen's Association Hall of Fame. Stanford has gone on to have a successful professional career, totaling five LPGA victories. She has also been a member of six U.S. Solheim Cup teams, including winning squads in 2005, 2007 and 2009.
