ABOUT THE GAME
* No. 12 TCU makes its first conference championship game appearance when it faces No. 4 Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in Arlington, Texas.
* The Horned Frogs and Sooners will be meeting for the second time in four weeks.
* TCU is playing an opponent twice in the same season for the first time since 1913, when it faced Dallas on two occasions.
* TCU is 5-4 in its last nine games versus AP top-five opponents with only two of those contests at home.
* TCU is 5-1 this year against teams it lost to last season. Its only defeat was to Oklahoma in Norman.
* The Horned Frogs are 44-6 when playing as an AP top-10 team under head coach Gary Patterson. Since 2008, TCU's 39-5 record (.886) as an AP top-10 team is fourth nationally.
* TCU is 24-21 against ranked opponents under Patterson, including 10-7 the last four seasons.
* TCU's 43-16 record (.729) in road and neutral-site games since 2009 is the nation's third-best mark. 4Since TCU began Big 12 play in 2012, five of the six games between the Horned Frogs and Sooners have been decided by seven points or less. The lone exception was this year's 38-20 TCU loss in Norman.
BACK IN AT&T STADIUM
* TCU will be playing at AT&T Stadium for the first time since 2013 and fourth time overall.
* The Horned Frogs are 2-1 at AT&T Stadium. TCU defeated No. 24 Oregon State, 30-21, in the 2010 Cowboys Classic as well as posting a 38-28 win over BYU in 2011. TCU dropped a 37-27 decision to No. 12 LSU in the 2013 Cowboys Classic.
* TCU will return to AT&T Stadium next season when it faces Ohio State Sept. 15.
SERIES HISTORY
* Oklahoma holds a 12-5 series lead over TCU.
* The Horned Frogs are 2-6 versus the Sooners in Fort Worth, 3-5 in Norman and 0-1 in Oklahoma City.
* The first game in the series was a 34-19 Sooners' win in Oklahoma City in 1944.
* TCU's 17-10 win at No. 5 Oklahoma in 2005 was its first victory over an opponent ranked that high since a 6-0 decision at No. 1 Texas in 1961. The 10 points by OU marked its fewest in a home game under former head coach Bob Stoops.
REMEMBER ME
* TCU co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Sonny Cumbie and Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley were teammates during the spring and summer of 2003 at Texas Tech. Riley was then a student assistant/offense during Cumbie's final two seasons (2003-04) as a player for the Red Raiders.
* TCU offensive analyst Sonny Dykes also overlapped with Riley in Lubbock. Dykes was Texas Tech's wide receivers coach (2000-04) and co-offensive coordinator (2005-06) while Riley was a student assistant (2003-05) and offensive assistant (2006).
TCU NOTABLES
* Following last week's 45-22 win over Baylor, TCU head coach Gary Patterson announced his contract extension through 2024.

* TCU has announced Board of Trustees approval to begin fundraising for a $100 million premium seating expansion of Amon G. Carter Stadium. Construction would begin in Summer 2018 with completion in time for the 2019 season.
* TCU has a 33-4 record in the three seasons it came off a non-winning record in the 17-year tenure of head coach Gary Patterson. The Horned Frogs were 11-1 and Mountain West champions in 2005 after a 5-6 campaign in 2004. TCU went 12-1 with Big 12 and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl championships in 2014 following a 4-8 season in 2013. TCU is 10-2 this season after last year's 6-7 campaign.
* Over the last four seasons, TCU's 39-12 overall record and 26-10 conference mark rank second in the Big 12.
* TCU leads the nation this season by holding six opponents to seven points or less.
* TCU has held each opponent below its season scoring average and all but one (West Virginia) under its total offense average this year.
* TCU has allowed just six second-half points in its last seven games and has not surrendered a touchdown after halftime since Oct. 7 versus West Virginia.
* Defensive end Mat Boesen set TCU and Big 12 records, while being just a 1/2 sack short of an NCAA record, with his 5 1/2 sacks against Baylor.
