Cross Country Set To Open 2016 Season

FORT WORTH -- The Horned Frogs will open the 2016 cross country season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 1 at the Bear Twilight Invitational in Waco, Texas.
TCU will compete against Baylor, Incarnate Word, North Texas, SMU and Texas State. The women's 4K race is set to begin at 7 p.m. with the men's 6K race to follow.
The Frogs welcome back eight on both the men's and women's roster. Freshmen Kelly Fairchild, Frances Patrick and Lindsay Tomaini were added during the offseason, and they'll look to further improve on TCU's successes.
Last Time...
Sophomore Anna Cozart highlighted last year's performance at the Bear Twilight Invitational with an 11th-place finish in the 4K at 14:27.4. Junior Matt Brown led the men in 2015 with a 14th-place finish at 19:20.9 in the 6K race.
Thursday will mark the fifth-straight year the Frogs open the season in Waco.
