
Trio to Join BeachVB Roster

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU beach volleyball team will add three new members to the incoming 2016 class as two transfers plus an incoming freshman were added to the roster by head coach Erik Peterson on Monday morning.
Texas All-American and Austin native Amy Neal will transfer and spend her fifth year of eligibility on the beach volleyball team, while local product Tyler Lucas will join the roster after spending her freshman season at Arizona. The final addition to the 2016 class will be Atlanta, Ga., native Claire Doyle who is the fourth incoming freshman to the class.

High School/Juniors:
Letterwinner and captain at The Lovett School in volleyball and basketball … helped her team to the Final Four in volleyball from 2013-15 … finished state runner-up in volleyball during her junior and senior years … also helped her basketball squad advance to the Elite 8 in 2012 … competed at the USAV Nationals in 2014 and finished in second place at the USAV tournament in Gulf Shores … claimed the top prize at the ROX Qualifier in Atlanta in 2015 and grabbed first place in the silver bracket at the 2015 ROX Nationals … finished third in 2015 at the Rally Volleyball Tournament in Emerson with partner Hanley Lomax … recorded four fifth place finishes in 2015 with partners Emma Bivings, Savannah Beer, Sara Scharff and Lomax … competed in two tournaments in 2016 with partner Ivey Andrews … finished in third at the Southern Sand Volleyball Tournament in Gulf Shores in the Gold U18 Sand Division and in fifth place at the USAV tournament in Tavares in the Gold U18 Sand Division
Peterson on Doyle:
"Claire comes from a strong athletic background. Both her father and brother played basketball at the collegiate level, so she has grown up a competitor. I was fortunate enough to work with her last summer and the drive and focus she brings are going to be a great addition to the team."

2016 Freshman Season (At Arizona):
Posted an 8-7 record in her debut collegiate beach volleyball season … helped the team to an at-large bid to the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship … competed in two matches for Arizona at the championship with partner Mackenzie Kleespies at the No. 5 position … played mainly in the exhibition matches throughout the regular season with partners Nikki Attea and Kalei Mau … posted a 6-2 record with Attea, while going 1-1 with Mau … also saw action on court three with Mau … posted wins with Mau over pairs form CSUB and Spring Hill … recorded victories with Attea over opponents from Colorado Mesa, TCU, Cal, Concordia, New Mexico and Arizona State
High School/Juniors:
Letterwinner and team captain at Aledo High School ... earned a beach volleyball AA women's ranking ... competed in the Qualification Cup CBYA 2014 … earned second place at the NVL Global Challenge ... also finished in second at the USA Jr. Beach Tour Championship in 2013 ... helped her team become district champions in indoor volleyball from 2012-14 ... garnered All-State honors twice ... Aledo was runner-up in the Texas State Championship in 2012 and a semifinalist in 2014 … helped guide her team to a first place finish at the Grapevine Tournament in 2013 ... also helped the team to first place at the Leander VolleyPaloozab Tournament in 2014
Peterson on Lucas:
