
Hancock and Omand Receive NCEA Monthly Honors

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU's Kari Hancock and Jayme Omand have received National Collegiate Equestrian Association Rider of the Month accolades for November.
Hancock, a senior from Anchorage, Alaska, is the EquiFit Equitation On The Flat Rider of the Month. She posted a 3-0 record in November, defeating opponents from No. 3 Baylor, No. 8 Oklahoma State and Delaware State. Hancock earned an MVP honor in her 87-66 victory against OSU.
Hancock averaged a score of 86.0 in November with an average victory margin of 13.0 points.
Omand is the EquiFit Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month. She was also 3-0 in November and earned MVP honors against Delaware State and Baylor on back-to-back days.
A junior from Sacramento, Calif., Omand posted a scoring average of 84.7 in November.
TCU, ranked ninth nationally, returns to action Jan. 26 when it hosts Baylor at the Fort Worth Stock Show.
