NEW YORK -- TCU's Joey Hunt has been named to the watch list for the 2015 Rimington Trophy, presented to the nation's top center.
Hunt earned second-team All-Big 12 honors last season from the conference coaches and Associated Press. He was also second-team Academic All-Big 12.
A senior from El Campo, Texas, Hunt started all 13 games in 2014. He helped key a TCU record-setting offense that finished second in the nation in scoring (46.5 points per game) and tied for fifth in total offense (533.0 yards per game). The Horned Frogs set single-season school marks for points (604), passing yards (4,240), total yards (6,929), first downs (331) and plays (1,038).
Hunt has started all 25 games for TCU the last two seasons. As a true freshman in 2012, he made a start at left guard.
TCU consensus first-team All-American Jake Kirkpatrick was the 2010 recipient of the Rimington Trophy.
