RUNNING WILD
TCU added four stolen bases on Tuesday night moving its season total to 97. The Horned Frogs are chasing 100 stolen bases for a season, something they haven't done since stealing a school-record 134 in 1996. It would be only the fifth time in program history that a Horned Frog team has stolen over 100 bases. The 97 stolen bases are already the most under the guidance of head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
Cody Jones added his 24th stolen base. He is only the third Horned Frog to notch back-to-back 20 stolen base campaigns. He's the first since Sam Lunsford in 1995 and 1996 to accomplish the feat.
HEATING UP
A year removed from leading the team with a .324 batting average, Garrett Crain has gotten back on track. Over the last five games, Crain has boosted his average 20 points. During his five-game hitting streak, Crain is 9-for-19 (.474) with three RBIs.
TWO OUT MAGIC
On the year, the Frogs have scored 107 of their 285 runs with two outs. Connor Wanhanen's go-ahead, two-run single in the fifth inning on Friday moved him into a tie with Derek Odell for the team lead in two-out RBIs with 16.
Conversely, the TCU pitching staff has really battened down the hatches. After allowing 57 two-out runs through the first 34 games this season, the Frogs have surrendered just nine in the last 15 games.
STREAKING
Cody Jones is making a serious case to earn plenty of postseason accolades. Playing all 48 games as the lead-off hitter, Jones ranks third in the Big 12 with a .359 average and is first with a .466 on-base percentage.
Heading into the weekend, Jones has reached base in 21 straight games. He boasts a .485 on-base percentage during the streak. Jones has 30 hits, has walked 13 times and been hit by a pitch five times.
This season, Jones has reached base to lead off the game 24 times. He has tallied a hit in 38 games and reached base in 44 games.
PIVOTAL INNING

BACK ON TOP
