No. 6 TCU Takes On K-State Friday

The Frogs will take on the Wildcats at Timbercreek Stables on Friday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The squad will return to action Saturday versus the Cowgirls in Stillwater at 10:00 a.m.

All-Time Series
TCU and K-State have met 12 times inside the show ring. The two teams have battled to a 6-6 all-time series mark. Oklahoma State currently leads the all-time series, 9-8, after splitting the season-series a year ago.
MOP Success
Molly Peddicord has had quite the start to her 2015-16 campaign. The junior has gone 9-1 between Equitation on the Flat and Equitation over Fences. She has also garnered four MOP rides between the two disciplines.
Stewart Starts Strong
Returning All-American Chantz Stewart has shined during the fall campaign, going a perfect 5-0 in Reining. The 2015 Big 12 Reining Rider of the Year honoree went 6-0 last year against conference foes during the regular-season. She has now gone an impressive 13-1-1 in her last 15 regular-season outings in Reining.
Hancock Breaks Record
Junior Kari Hancock had quite the weekend as she set a school, Big 12 and NCEA regular-season record by scoring a 98 in Equitation on the Flat against South Dakota State. Hancock is 4-1 on the season, including a 1-0 mark in league action. She has also garnered one MOP accolade.
Peddicord Has Quite The Month
Molly Peddicord was named the Big 12 Conference Equitation on the Flat and NCEA Equitation over Fences Rider of the Month during the month of October.
Peddicord, who was honored for a second-straight month in Equitation over Fences, recorded a 4-0 overall record during the month. She earned three MOP accolades, while defeating her opponents by an average of 16.5 points. Peddicord averaged 85.5 per ride for the month of October.
The California native posted a 4-1 record in October, including a 1-0 mark in conference play on the Flat. She also claimed one MOP honor in the discipline.
McMullen Selected For AQHA Challenge
Junior Megan McMullen was selected to participate in the 2015 American Quarter Horse Association Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge.
By being selected, McMullen will join 15 other riders from across the nation in the prestigious event, which is set to begin on Nov. 15 as part of the Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Scouting TCU
TCU comes into this Friday's showdown looking to move to 4-2 on the season. The Horned Frogs, who moved up to No. 6 in the NCEA rankings this week, dropped South Dakota State in their last outing, 12-5.
Individually, several student-athletes have shined during the 2015-16 campaign on the Hunt Seat side, including Molly Peddicord who has gone 5-0 with three MOP honors in Equitation over Fences. Kari Hancock has also had a stellar start to her season as she has posted a 4-1 record in Equitation on the Flat with one MOP.
On the Western side, Carley Montemuro sits at 4-0-1 with two MOP honors in Reining, while Chantz Stewart has simply dominated competition, going a perfect 5-0 in the discipline. In Horsemanship, Megan McMullen has captured three victories on the year to lead the Purple and White.
Scouting K-State
K-State comes into Friday with a 1-2 overall record, including an 0-2 mark in Big 12 action. Individually, Alyssa Lombardi was named Big 12 Rider of the Month in Horsemanship after recording a 3-0 mark during October.
In their last outing, the Wildcats scored a 6-3 victory in Western, but fell to nationally ranked Baylor by an overall raw score. Sophomore Paige Kemper earned MOP accolades in Horsemanship against the Bears.
Scouting Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State has posted a 3-2 overall record and currently sits No. 5 in the national rankings. The Cowgirls have gone 2-0 in league play, having defeated K-State and Baylor. In its last outing, Oklahoma State dropped the Bears, 13-7. Paris Nottingham and Ebba Lange both earned MOP accolades.
Individually, Erin Willoughby was named the Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month in October. Willoughby went a perfect 4-0 during the month and is 5-0 overall on the young season.
