Cross Country Concludes Regular Season

"I do not feel that we raced our best, but I hope that seeing some of the best teams in the country in action is an eye opener for the team," coach Jennifer Fazioli said.
Sophomore Bailey Sullivan led the Horned Frogs in the 6,000-meter race at Tom Sawyer Park. Sullivan earned 68th after clocking in at 22:01.6.
Sophomore Nicole Hicks ran a career-best 22:14.3, shaving more than eight seconds off her previous top time.
Four freshmen rounded out the TCU team. Maddie Weinstock posted a time of 22:58.0. Brenley Goertzen finished at 23:07.4. Emily Suarez completed the race at 23:10.2, and Erin Barth clocked in at 23:37.5.
"I do think that the majority of them finished strong. I hope this will benefit them as we enter our conference championships," Fazioli said.
The Big 12 Cross Country Championships will be held in Stillwater, Okla. and will begin on Oct. 31 for the women with the men set to race on Nov. 1.
