TCU Football Ranked Third in Season-Ending Polls

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The Big 12 and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl champion TCU football team has been ranked third in season-ending polls by the Associated Press and Amway USA Today Coaches.
The Horned Frogs have finished in the top 10 four times in the last seven seasons. In 14 years under head coach Gary Patterson, TCU has posted five top-10 finishes and nine in the top 25.
This season's No. 3 final ranking is TCU's highest since it closed the 2010 campaign at No. 2 after a 21-19 Rose Bowl win over Wisconsin.
TCU (12-1) reached the 12-win mark for the third time in the last six seasons. It was the fourth 12-win season in TCU history. The only one prior to Patterson's arrival was the 1935 national championship team that went 12-1.
TCU will return 15 starters, including 10 on offense, next season.
The Horned Frogs open the 2015 campaign on Sept. 3 at Minnesota.
