The women's 4,000-meter race will begin at 7 p.m., followed shortly after by the men's 6,000-meter race.
Sophomore Breanne Ball is the only Frog who competed on last year's women's team. She ran in four of the five events in her freshman season and was the top finisher among her fellow teammates in three races.
The men's team returns four student-athletes from last year. Senior Taylor Moult posted the best times last season among the four returners, including an 11th place finish at the Ken Garland Invitational. The Frogs also return sophomores Ryan Dykstra, Greg May and Shane Murray.
"I want them to make improvements from last year," coach Laura Harmon said. "I would like for them to work on finishing higher in the race. I think sometimes you can tell how someone is going to do based on the workouts, but sometimes you can't really get a good idea. So, I think this meet is going to be great because I'm actually going to have an idea of what our actual starting place is and then we can build from there."
Ten of the 15 Frogs will be competing in their first race for TCU Friday night. A total of 96 women and 67 men are slated to compete at this year's event. Baylor, hosting the invitational, as well as Houston, North Texas, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State and the SMU women will all race.
The TCU women scheduled to compete include sophomore Breanne Ball and freshmen Anna Cozart, Nicole Hicks, Arin Rice, Bailey Sullivan and Dominique Tilly.
The Horned Frogs men's squad will feature senior Taylor Moult, sophomores Ryan Dykstra, Greg May and Shane Murray and freshmen Matthew Brown, Robbie Lacomble, Dylan Larkin, Aaron Reichner and Dillon Smith.
