FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU women's golf head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin has announced the signing of four student-athletes to National Letters of Intent.
Joining the Horned Frogs for next season are Annika Clark (Pasadena, Texas), Brooke Graebe (Yorba Linda, Calif.), Brooke McDougald (The Woodlands, Texas) and Sabina Pena (Sharyland, Texas).
Clark won the 2014 BilliardFactory.com Junior Championship, an event that fellow TCU signee Brooke McDougald captured in 2013. Clark was also the 86th Texas State Girls Junior Champion. She played in The Champions Tour The Nature Valley/The First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, where she was paired with professional Mark Brooks.
"Annika is not only a great golfer but also a phenomenal athlete," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "She has such a strong competitive fire and her ball striking is incredible. Her game has gotten better and better each year, and we are looking forward to helping her continue that trend in her collegiate career as a Horned Frog!"
Clark, who is No. 99 in the Polo Golf rankings, opened the 2014 calendar year with titles at the Jimmy Demaret Junior Classic and Texas Legends Junior Tour Winter Classic. She also captured the 2014 Deer Park Invitational while qualifying to play in the LPGA North Texas Shootout at Las Colinas.
Keyed by her opening round 67, Clark was the 2014 TAPPS 2-A state champion as a junior. She also won the 2013 TAPPS 2-A state championship her sophomore year.
Clark attends First Baptist Christian Academy, where she is a member of the National Honor Society. In addition to golf, she also lettered in basketball and softball.
A native of Yorba Linda, Calif., Graebe is currently ranked 57th by Golfweek and 59th by the American Junior Golf Association and the National Junior Golf Scoreboard. She was the 2013 Orange County Register Women's Golfer of the Year.
"Brooke is one of the best players to come out of California," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "She is truly an incredible athlete and hits the ball a mile! With her drive, determination and hard-working demeanor, Brooke is a great asset to our team and the sky is the limit."
Graebe, who has a career-low round of 65, made consecutive trips to the CIF Championships her sophomore and junior years. She won the 2014 AJGA Lipari Energy Junior Championship and held second-place finishes at the AJGA Junior Tournament in 2014 as well as the Junior All-Star Championships and Bridgestone Golf/Brandt Snedeker Music City Junior event in 2013. She has a total of seven top-five finishes in the AJGA.
Graebe, also a medalist at the 2012 PBE Qualifier in Stockton, Calif., has been her high school league's Most Valuable Player for four consecutive years.
McDougald has won three American Junior Golf Association events (2014 Carabasset Valley in Maine, 2013 The Woodlands and 2012 Boston).
"Brooke has been a fabulous young junior player and it has been great watching her grow into one of the best players in the country," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "She is such a determined player and carries the demeanor of a fighter.
"Brooke was our earliest commitment ever, committing after ninth grade. We are so excited that her time has finally come to start her college career!"
A native of The Woodlands, Texas, McDougald tied for No. 116 in the Polo Golf rankings. She won the 2014 Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Sugarloaf as well as the 2013 BilliardFactory.com Junior Championship.
As a junior, she shared the title at the 2012 Junior All-Star Tournament at Townsend Ridge, where she birdied three of her last five holes. Her performance at that tournament earned her one of five spots for the USGA U.S. Girls Junior Championship in Daly City, Calif., featuring more than 150 of the nation's best 18-and-under female golfers. She recorded a fourth-place finish at the Bob Estes Abilene Junior Tournament.
McDougald was named to the 2012 Class 5A Academic All-State first team as well as garnering Rolex Junior All-America honors. She was second at the 2010 Stars of Texas Junior All-Star event and third at the Elbit Systems of America Junior Championship.
McDougald was named the overall 2012 Student of the Year at The Woodlands High School.
A native of Sharyland, Texas, Pena has a low round of 66 and is ranked No. 136 by Polo Golf.
"Sabina has a tremendous amount of sheer, raw talent," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "She is already a great competitor, yet she has a world of potential and even better golf ahead of her.
"We are very excited to play a part in Sabina's development, and we can't wait for her to join the TCU family!"
Pena tied for fourth at the UIL 5A Girls Golf Championships in 2013. She won the individual crown at the 2012 McAllen ISD Fall Golf Classic, an event her brother, Jose, won in the boys' division.
Ranked 12th in Texas, Pena earned all-state honors in 2012-13. She also tied for fourth-place overall at the state tournament that season.
