FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin added to his list of national honors Tuesday by being selected as the Davey O'Brien Quarterback of the Week, the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week and a Manning Award Star of the Week.
Boykin was previously named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week and the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.
Boykin set a TCU record with seven touchdown passes to go with a career-high 433 yards passing and 461 in total offense in the Horned Frogs' 82-27 win over Texas Tech. It was Boykin's second straight game with career-best totals in passing and total offense.
The junior from Dallas completed 22-of-39 passes with no interceptions. The 433 yards passing ranked third for a single game in TCU history.
Boykin tied a TCU record with his fifth career 300-yard passing game. He also moved into third place on TCU's all-time list for touchdown passes (43).
Boykin tops the Big 12 and is third nationally in total offense (382.9 yards per game). He is just the third quarterback since 2009 to average over 300 yards per game passing (329.4) and at least 50 yards per game rushing (53.4). The others were Heisman Trophy winners Robert Griffin III and Johnny Manziel.
