No. 7 TCU Travels to No. 3 Baylor Friday

The Horned Frogs come into Friday's meet with a 2-0 overall record, while the Bears are 4-0 overall and 1-0 in league play after defeating Oklahoma State in their last outing, 9-7.
"We are excited about opening up conference play at Baylor Friday," said TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield. "We are practicing at a high level and looking forward to our experienced student-athletes setting the tone this weekend. We also have some very talented freshman that are looking forward to traveling."

The All-Time Series
TCU will battle the Bears for the 15th time in program history Friday. The Frogs will look to improve to 8-7 all-time against Baylor after splitting last season's regular-season meetings. TCU also fell to the Bears by a final score of 11-9 at the 2014 Big 12 Championship.
Scouting TCU
TCU comes into this weekend's conference showdown looking to build upon a strong showing in Delaware to open the month. On opening weekend, the Frogs, now 2-0 on the young season defeated Delaware State and Centenary/Ohio State, respectively.
Against the Hornets, the Horned Frogs captured three out of the four MOP accolades, while posting a 6-1 decision in the Western discipline. Not to be outdone, the Hunt Seat squad upended DSU by a final score of 6-2.
Individually, several student-athletes opened up the 2014-15 campaign in style on the Hunt Seat side, including junior Nicole Diamantis who went 4-0 between Equitation on the Flat and over Fences. Sophomore Kari Hancock was also solid, capturing two MOP honors in Equitation on the Flat. The Alaska native has now posted three MOP awards during her young career.
On the Western side, returning All-America honoree Erin Gillette opened her junior campaign, going 2-0 in Horsemanship with one MOP, while senior Calli Rouse was also victorious, riding to a 2-0 record in the discipline with one MOP. In Reining, Katelyn Gray got her senior season started on the right foot, leading the way for TCU with a 2-0 mark. Finally, returning All-America recipient Alexi Child posted her first MOP of the year to open the season.
Scouting Baylor
No. 3 Baylor comes into Friday, having won four-straight, including a 9-7 league victory over No. 6 Oklahoma State in its last outing.
Against the Cowgirls, the Bears claimed a 3-1 decision in Equitation on the Flat before battling to a 2-2 draw in both Reining and Equitation over Fences, respectively. Individually, Jennifer Mitchell posted Baylor's only MOP honor against OSU, scoring a 76-70 victory over Carly Barrick in Equitation on the Flat. Not to be outdone, Savannah Jenkins was also solid, going 2-0 in Hunt Seat competition.
On the young season, the Bears have downed the likes of UT Martin, Fresno State, SMU and Oklahoma State. Only OSU and SMU are ranked in the latest NCEA Top-10.
A Look At The Rankings
TCU comes into the latest NCEA Rankings at No. 7 in the nation. Other Big 12 schools ranked are No. 2 Kansas State, No. 3 Baylor and No. 6 Oklahoma State.
Out Of The Gate
Following competition at Baylor this Friday, TCU will take on fellow league foes Oklahoma State and Kansas State in back-to-back outings to begin the month of November. The Frogs will next be in action versus the Cowgirls on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Turing Point Ranch in Springtown.
