COLOR BLOCK THE CARTER
As I'm sure you know, we're holding our first-ever color blocking of Amon G. Carter Stadium at Saturday's 11 a.m. home game versus SMU. If you're a season-ticket holder, or even a single-game purchaser, you should have received multiple emails with the color your section has been designated. If you have any questions, please click here or see the below chart.
TICKETS REMAINING
With SMU returning tickets to us, we have less than 400 seats remaining for Saturday's game. If you don't have your tickets already, please make your purchase here or by calling (817) 257-3764 (FROG) or dropping by the athletics ticket office in Daniel-Meyer Coliseum between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
IT'S A SELLOUT WEDNESDAY
Tonight's 6:30 p.m. home volleyball match versus Texas, which also marks our Big 12 opener, is sold out. If you're a TCU student, please take note you will still be admitted. We encourage everyone to arrive early to get a seat and to find parking, which will be available in Lots 1, 1A and 2.
HORNED FROG CLASSIC
The 35th-annual Horned Frog Classic is set for Monday, Oct. 7, at Colonial Country Club. Sponsorships are available for this longtime and popular TCU tradition, which provides scholarship funding for our men's and women's golf programs. We very much appreciate title sponsor Greenwood Office Outfitters and our friends at Colonial Country Club for their partnership in hosting the Horned Frog Classic. A GREAT WEEKEND
It was another great weekend for our soccer and volleyball programs. Soccer battled to a 1-1 tie with No. 14 Denver on Friday night, keeping us undefeated in three matches this season against top-25 programs. We then had a hat trick from freshman Michelle Prokof in a 3-0 Sunday victory over Central Arkansas. Volleyball won its second straight tournament and extended its winning streak to eight matches by capturing the UNC Greensboro Spartan Spiketacular.
ON THE DOCKET
As we mentioned earlier, we have volleyball at home tonight versus Texas and football hosting SMU on Saturday at 11 a.m. Soccer begins Big 12 action Friday night at Texas. Women's golf concludes play today at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Wolcott, Colo., while our men's program opens its season Friday at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in Albuquerque. On Saturday, volleyball is at Kansas with cross country competing at the Ken Garland Invitational in Denton.
BIG 12 CORNER
The Big 12 is the only conference with 50 percent of its football teams in the top 23 nationally in scoring defense. The Big 12 is also second among FBS conferences with 277.1 passing yards and 461.9 in total offense per game.
MEET THE STAFF
Liz Wort is entering her third season as head coach of our cross country program and assistant coach with track and field. Prior to joining our Horned Frogs family, Liz was an assistant coach at Duke, her alma mater, for four years. Liz joined the Blue Devils' coaching staff immediately after completing a stellar running career as a student-athlete. She was a three-time All-American and qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials. Liz is a native of Califon, N.J.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Jessi Moore '04 is one of our all-time greats in women's soccer, earning back-to-back All- Conference USA selections. She was also named Academic All-C-USA two years in a row. Jessi totaled 41 points in her TCU career, including a team-best 10 goals in 2004. After graduating from TCU with a degree in radio/TV/film, Jesse moved to Los Angeles and is now rising in the film industry. She began in the accounting department at 20th Century Fox before working for Mark Ellis, a leader in sport coordinating and casting. With 20 feature films and dozens of commercials under her belt, Jesse has now branched out and co-founded her own sports coordinating company called Game Changing Films.
SPANNING THE GLOBE
In this week's edition of the Horned Frogs Nation showing their pride from all points worldwide, we see Adrianne (Specker) Deem '94 during our season-opening football game versus LSU. Adrianne was in Maasai Mara, Kenya, and had to wake up at 4 a.m. to support her alma mater. If you have some great images to share, please send them my way (delconte@tcu.edu).

COMPLIANCE CORNER
This week's topic centers around prorated financial aid:
Chip Shot is a tennis student-athlete at Ocean State University (OSU). Chip's coach decided to provide her with a full athletic scholarship during the third week of classes. Can OSU provide her the full amount or does it have to be prorated based on remaining charges for that term?
The scholarship will have to be prorated. NCAA Bylaw 15.3.1.3 states that institutional financial aid awarded to an enrolled student-athlete after the first day of classes in any term may not exceed the remaining room and board charges and educational expenses for that term and may not be made retroactive to the beginning of that term.
