FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU's football game at Texas this season will be on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN.
TCU will be playing on Thanksgiving for the first time since a 15-6 win at SMU on Nov. 29, 1928.
The Horned Frogs open their debut season as a Big 12 member Saturday when they host Grambling State at 6 p.m. in the first game at the new Amon G. Carter Stadium after its $164 million rebuild.
TCU and Texas will be meeting for the first time since 2007 and just the second time since the dissolution of the Southwest Conference after the 1995 campaign.
