WEDNESDAY NIGHT FUN
It's obviously an exciting time with National Signing Day here. Many of you will be headed to our Signing Day reception at 5 p.m. in the BLUU. We also have a home men's basketball game versus Wyoming at 7 p.m. If you will indeed be at the Signing Day Reception, make sure to also drop by Daniel-Meyer Coliseum to support our men's basketball program. If you need an afternoon distraction, Gary Patterson's Signing Day news conference will be streamed live at 2 p.m. on GoFrogs.com.
RESPONSE FORMS DUE MONDAY
You should have received your 2012 TCU football season ticket packet in the mail by now. In the back of the packet is a Response Form. Please return this form with the envelope provided by Monday, Feb. 6. The Response Form tells us how you will be selecting your seats and if you're interested in group seating. If you were a football season ticket holder in 2011 and have not received your season ticket packet, please contact the TCU Frog Club as soon as possible at (817) 257-7700.
COMING SOON
Many of you are asking about 2012 Football Donor Parking. For those of you who had a parking spot in 2011, you will receive renewal information in the coming weeks. If you did not have a spot last year but are interested in parking for the upcoming season, please call the TCU Frog Club at (817) 257-7700 and we will add you to our waiting list. Once renewals have been fulfilled, we will accommodate our new requests.
PITCHERS AND CATCHERS HAVE REPORTED
Baseball season is just over two weeks away as we open the 2012 campaign Feb. 17 with a three-game home series versus Ole Miss. Single game tickets went on sale today. We also have a limited number of season tickets still available. If you renewed from last year, look for your tickets to arrive in the mail over the next few days.
ONLINE AUCTIONS
The online auctions are back! We are currently auctioning off two football banners from each home game from the 2010 and 2011 seasons. The banners are auctioned off in the order of the games played, so if you're interested in a specific game, be on the lookout. There is an auction every week, so keep bidding for these banners you won't be able to find anywhere else.
BIG WINS
Our No. 1-ranked rifle program made it a nation's-best 27 regular-season wins in a row with Saturday's home victory over No. 3 West Virginia. Over the last two weekends, we have knocked off the second- and third-ranked teams in the nation in 2011 national champion Kentucky and the Mountaineers.
CONGRATULATIONS
We are proud of associate director of sports medicine David Gable and team physician Dr. Sam Haraldson for their recent honor of being selected to assist at the 2012 NFL Combine in Indianapolis. This will be a great experience for them as well as a nice opportunity to represent TCU on a national stage.
ON THE DOCKET
In addition to tonight's home men's basketball game, we have plenty of other opportunities for you to catch the Horned Frogs in action over the next few days. Equestrian will take on Texas A&M Friday at 6 p.m. at the Stock Show. Also on Friday night, our baseball program will host its annual First Pitch Banquet at the Omni downtown before its Saturday 1 p.m. Alumni Game at Lupton Stadium. Women's basketball has a home game Saturday at 2 p.m. versus San Diego State. It will be Family Weekend for the women's basketball contest. For just $44, you can receive four tickets, four t-shirts, four hot dogs and four drinks.
COMPLIANCE CORNER
The mission of the TCU Athletics Compliance Program is to uphold the rules and regulations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Mountain West Conference (MWC) and Texas Christian University (TCU); to monitor the processes and activities associated with such rules and regulations; and to educate institutional staff members, student-athletes and external constituents regarding such rules, regulations, processes and activities. TCU is committed and obligated to the principle of institutional control in operating its Athletics Department in a manner that is consistent with the letter and the spirit of the NCAA, MWC and University rules and regulations. The Office of Athletics Compliance coordinates, monitors and verifies compliance with all NCAA requirements and educates the various constituencies of the University and the community regarding NCAA and MWC regulations. The Athletics Compliance Office is dedicated to providing educational programs and interpretive support to ensure that all individuals involved with the Athletics Department understand and adhere to TCU's compliance expectations. Each individual within the Athletics Department is obligated to maintain competency in knowledge of rules, to act within his or her realm of responsibility in full compliance with the rules and to report any violations of the rules. It is the goal of the Athletics Compliance Program to place the University in a pro-active position by educating, overseeing and monitoring the Athletics Department and maintaining a positive compliance environment. The commitment to excellence by the entire TCU athletics family must be a priority in all aspects of the compliance program. Remember to always ask before you act! Our NCAA Compliance office can be reached at (817) 257-7525.
