
Bayer and Stewart Honored by Big 12

FORT WORTH, Texas - Sophomore Samantha Bayer and freshman Chantz Stewart each earned Big 12 Rider of the Month accolades Wednesday.
Bayer, who claimed the Horsemanship Rider of the Month honor, went 1-0 during the month of October, winning at No. 4 Texas A&M. In all, the Oregon native scored a 74 and beat her competitor by 1.5 points. She also scored the lone point for the Frogs in the event.
Stewart had a banner month as she claimed the Reining Rider of the Month. The freshman continued her early season dominance in Reining, scoring the highest score among all competitors in defeating No. 4 Texas A&M's Laura Sumrall, 70.5-70. She is currently 3-1 on the young season with one MVP honor.
TCU will close the month of November with a Nov. 18 showdown at Baylor.
