TCU Ties For Second At Dick McGuire Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- TCU held a final-round lead before finishing in a tie for second out of 18 teams as play completed Monday at the Dick McGuire Invitational.
The Horned Frogs, with a 15-over-par 891, finished just four strokes behind tourney champion Baylor. TCU began the day three shots off the lead.
Brooke Beeler was the top Horned Frog performer, tying for fourth with an even-par 219. Beeler shot par on 17 holes en route to a 1-over-par final-round 74.
Beeler finished three strokes behind medalist Sofia Hoglund of host New Mexico, who finished with a 3 under 216.
TCU freshman April McCoy tied for 14th individually with a 223. The Carrollton, Texas, native birdied her final hole en route to a 76.
Fellow Frog newcomer Alexandra Bonetti of Paris, France, carded a 75 in tying for 23rd.
Rachel Raastad recorded an eagle on the par 5 ninth hole in posting a 77, while Sanna Nuutinen's 78 included a team-high three birdies on the day.
TCU returns to action Monday at the Windy City Classic in Chicago.
