
Munce Tabbed MW Player of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU volleyball junior setter Megan Munce has been named MW Player of the Week after helping the Horned Frogs to a 4-0 record last week. The weekly honor is the third of her career and the second for TCU in 2011.
Munce, a 5-8 junior from Newport Beach, Calif., led the Horned Frogs to a 4-0 record last week, including TCU's fourth tournament title of the season with three wins over Boston College, NJIT and host Seton Hall. TCU is now 13-0 on the season, the best season start in program history.
Munce and the Horned Frogs began the week with a 3-0 win over Baylor in Fort Worth. She recorded 29 assists and five digs to go along with seven kills in the Tuesday night match.
The Horned Frogs played two matches on Friday, 3-0 wins over BC and NJIT. Against BC, Munce put up 35 assists and seven digs, while adding 31 assists and four digs against NJIT.
Munce wrapped up the weekend with 41 assists and 11 digs against Seton Hall on Saturday afternoon. For her efforts in the Seton Hall Invitational, Munce was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
For the week, Munce averaged 10.46 assists, 2.08 digs, 1.38 kills and 0.23 aces per set, while hitting .311. She also accounted for three total blocks and 1.77 points per set over 13 total sets.
