Clay Signs With Cowboys

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Former TCU wide receiver Curtis Clay has signed a free-agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
The Horned Frogs now have 25 former players on NFL rosters, including four wide receivers from last year's Rose Bowl championship team (Clay, Bart Johnson, Cincinnati Bengals; Jeremy Kerley, New York Jets; Jimmy Young, Chicago Bears).
Clay was one of just three Horned Frogs (Johnson, Kerley) to play in all 52 games the last four seasons.
A Lockhart, Texas, native, Clay totaled 34 receptions for 407 yards and three touchdowns in his career. He had a career-high 18 catches as a junior, including scoring grabs at Clemson and in the Fiesta Bowl versus Boise State.
Clay averaged 24.0 yards on five punt returns last season. He placed fifth on the Horned Frogs with nine special teams tackles.
