FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's track and field team was recognized as a U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I All-Academic Track and Field team, the organization announced Thursday.
To be nominated for the academic team, the team must carry a minimum 3.000 cumulative grade-point average.
The TCU women enjoyed a successful semester, posting the highest team finish in program history at the NCAA Indoor Championships (T-13th) and adding the fourth top-30 performance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (T-27th). TCU also garnered nine MWC gold medals between the indoor and outdoor championships.
Sophomore Kelsey Samuels and freshman Tricia Terry earned All-Academic honors as individuals from the USTFCCCA on Aug. 4.
