Langston, who hails from Newport Beach, Calif., will don the Purple and White after winning the Sportsmanship Award at the Syracuse National Show. She was also the World Champion Hunter Rider Southwest Champion in 2010, while also earning fourth-place accolades at the CPHA Junior Medal Finals. A two-time top 10 finisher at the Maclay Regionals, Langston placed fourth overall nationally in Handy Hunter.
"I believe Gabbi is one of the most talented riders in the sport of Equestrian," said assistant coach Kindel Huffman. "We are extremely honored to have her join our Horned Frog Family."
Perry comes to TCU following a standout career at Pleasant Grove High School in Sacramento, Calif. A champion at the prestigious Cloverleaf Finals, Perry wrapped up round two competition in sixth-place at the West Coast Equestrian Finals. She was also 10th overall in round two competition at the CPHA Finals. Perry, who finished in the top 5 at both the Pickwick and NorCal Medal Finals, was recently named champion at Concour D' Equitation.
"Kaitlin is a strong rider with a great deal of experience," said Huffman. "I believe she will add great depth to our roster."
The nationally ranked Horned Frogs recently completed competition at the 2011 Varsity Equestrian National Championships. This is the fifth-straight year that the Horned Frogs, who had three student-athletes garner All-America accolades this past year, were invited to nationals.
