TCU Names its Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH - TCU student-athletes Tassie Munroe and Aaron Schultz are the TCU Athletes of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
Munroe, an equestrian rider, led the Frogs to a 12-8 victory over fourth-ranked Oklahoma State, while Schultz helped the TCU baseball team to a 3-1 mark in four games last week.
Munroe and the Frogs got it rolling early against Oklahoma State, jumping out to a 4-1 lead in Equitation on the Flat. In her final home outing, Munroe rode Wilbur to a dominating 87-73 decision over Sarah Gesick.
The win for Munroe helped her garner MVP honors and moved her season record to 6-4-1. It was the first MVP honor of the season for the Valley Mills, Texas, native.
Schultz extended his season hitting streak to nine games with multi-hit outings in all of TCU's games last week. He has racked up multiple hits in seven-straight games.
The Spring, Texas, native went 9-for-18 overall, including a three-hit game on Saturday against Houston. In Sunday's series finale against the Cougars, Schultz homered and drove in four runs.
