
Alumni Weekend Kicks Off Friday

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU baseball team will kick off its annual Alumni weekend Friday night with the First Pitch Banquet followed by Saturday's Alumni game. First pitch Saturday is slated for 1 p.m. Matt Purke will be the starting pitcher for the varsity team.
There is still time for fans to purchase a plate for the First Pitch Banquet. The banquet will be held at the Omni Hotel, with a silent auction and reception beginning at 6:15pm and dinner to follow at 7pm. Cost for the event is $100 per seat or a table of 10 for $1000. Dress for the event calls for business attire. Proceeds will go to supporting the TCU baseball team with scholarships, equipment and travel aide. A number of former players will make their way to the field on Saturday morning. Newcomers to the Alumni roster include 2010 draft picks Bryan Holaday, Tyler Lockwood, Greg Holle and Matt Curry. Also returning to Lupton Stadium will be Lance Broadway, Clint Arnold, Matt Carpenter, Ben Carruthers, Royce Huffman, Chad Durham, Chris Bradshaw, Keith Conlon, Andrew Walker and Taylor Cragin.
Alumni are asked to be at the field no later than 11 a.m. Batting practice for the Alumni squad is set to begin at 11:30 a.m.
