
TCU Track & Field Travels To Tyson Invitational

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU track and field program will take to the road this weekend to participate at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. The meet, which will boast some of the best teams and professional athletes in the country, will mark the Horned Frogs final tune up before the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships in two weeks.
Overall, 13 of the nation's top 25 programs on both the men's and women's sides will be in action in Fayetteville this weekend.
On the men's side, the field will feature No. 1 Florida, No. 2 LSU, No. 4 Texas Tech, No. 5 Indiana, No. 6 Oregon, No. 8 Penn State, No. 9 Florida State, No. 11 Auburn, No. 12 Arkansas, No. 15 Oklahoma, No. 21 Georgia, No. 22 Kansas State and No. 23 North Carolina.
The women's field has 13 teams currently listed in the top-25, highlighted by No. 1 Oregon, No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Clemson, No. 6 Arkansas, No. 9 Auburn, No. 10 Florida State, No. 15 Oklahoma, No. 17 Central Florida, No. 18 Texas Tech, No. 19 Penn State, No. 20 Indiana, No. 21 South Carolina and No. 23 Louisville.

Fans not able to attend this weekend's meet at Arkansas can follow the results live from the World Wide Web. Returning To Fayetteville
The Frogs are making the second of three trips to Fayetteville this indoor season. TCU competed at the Randal Tyson Track Center two weeks ago for the Razorback Invitational and will return again on March 5 for a last chance meet. The Purple and White have enjoyed outstanding success in the past at Arkansas, writing 16 program indoor records in the Natural State.
Top Billings In The Mountain West Conference
After its third competition of the indoor season, TCU currently holds the top spot in the Mountain West Conference in seven events, including the women's 4x400 relay of Quinterra Charles, Kristal Juarez, Teneshia Peart and Jessica Young. In addition, the Frogs also boast one of the top-3 performances in 10 different events.
Purple and White Spread Throughout National Rankings
The TCU women are currently ranked No. 22 overall in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division I women's indoor track and field rankings.
Individually, Jessica Young is No. 3 in the nation in the women's 60 meters, while Whitney Gipson is currently ranked No. 4 overall in the long jump and the women's 4x400 relay sits as the No. 5 team in the nation. Junior triple jumper Cameron Parker is listed at No. 18 in the triple jump for the TCU men and sophomore Charles Silmon is No. 31 in the men's 60 meters. Jack O'Brien and Sean Zurko are ranked No. 30 and No. 34, respectively, in the 800 meters.
Flyin' Frogs Sign Ten
TCU track and field coach Darryl Anderson announced the signing of ten newcomers to National Letters of Intent last week. Inking with the Frogs were six women and four men, welcoming six athletes from Texas, as well as one from Kansas, Ohio, Oklahoma and Zimbabwe, Africa.
