
Mountain West Honors Four Horned Frogs

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU volleyball's Stephanie Holland was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Year, while Jordan Raines, Kristen Hester and Sarah Joeckel were honored as all-conference performers. The honors are the first in their respective careers.
Holland is the first Horned Frog to earn MW Freshman of the Year accolades. In league play, she ranked fourth in hitting percentage at .338 with 1.91 kills per set. Holland completed the season ranked eighth in hitting percentage (.314) with 1.86 kills per set in overall matches.
Raines paced the Frogs in kills per set during league play, averaging 3.46 kills per set and hitting at a .253 clip. She has tallied six of her 13 double-doubles on the season against conference foes. Raines has started 27 matches this season and ranks sixth in the league with an average of 3.24 kills per set. Her average of 2.75 digs per set is second on the team.
Hester is the Frogs' top offensive performer, ranking fifth in the conference with an average of 3.37 kills per set. Her .348 attacking percentage is third in the league. She has led the team in kills 16 times this season. In league play, the senior averaged 3.15 kills per set.
Joeckel has dominated the backcourt this season, leading the league and ranking 16th nationally with her average of 5.54 digs per season. She is on pace to set the single season school record for total digs and digs per set. In conference play, Joeckel averaged 5.22 digs per set.
Since joining the league in 2005, the Horned Frogs have had 12 all-conference selections.
