Jones, Nuutinen Named TCU Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH -- The TCU Athletics Department has named football's Colin Jones and women's golfer Sanna Nuutinen as its Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 20.
Jones, a senior safety, recorded seven tackles in the 45-10 win over Baylor. Of those seven, five were unassisted.
The Bridgeport, Texas, native tied for the team lead in tackles, while also notching 1 1/2 tackles for loss. Jones has started each of the last two contests, after missing much of last year due to an injury.
On the women's side, Nuutinen fired a final-round 68 in her first event for the Horned Frogs. The freshman tallied seven birdies in her final round, including each of the last two holes. The TCU record for low tournament round is 66.
The Helsinki, Finland, native finished in seventh place overall, with an even-par total of 219. Despite entering only four players in the event, Nuutinen led TCU to a sixth-place finish in the team standings.
