FORT WORTH, Texas - The fifth-ranked TCU Horned Frogs will be making their second straight appearance in the NCAA Super Regionals. In a rematch of the 2009 Super Regional, TCU will face the No. 2 national seed, Texas. Game one of the best of three series is slated to begin Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Austin at UT's Disch-Falk Field. All three games will be nationally televised on the ESPN family of networks.
Series Schedule:
Game 1: Friday, June 11 at 2 p.m. on ESPN2HD
Game 2: Saturday, June 12 at Noon on ESPNHD
Game 3 (if necessary): Sunday, June 13 at 3 p.m. on ESPNHD
All times are central.
The Horned Frogs have had a record-setting season in 2010. The regional-clinching victory over Baylor on Sunday gave the Frogs a single-season record 49 wins. The Frogs already hold the season record for home runs (90) and doubles (170). They are on pace to set the record for batting average in a season and slugging percentage in a season. TCU enters the Super Regional weekend as they only team in the nation to be a perfect 13-0 in weekend series this season.
