
Woolf and de Beer Garner All-Mountain West Conference Accolades

FORT WORTH, Texas - Travis Woolf and Johan de Beer were both honored with All-Mountain West Conference accolades, which was announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Woolf garnered All-Mountain West Conference laurels for the first time in his career as the TCU senior ranked first on the squad with a 73.44 strokes average. In addition, the Fort Worth standout recorded six top-25 finishes, including two top-10 showings during the 2009-10 campaign.
Woolf recently tied a season-best with a seventh-place showing at the Mountain West Conference Championships where he posted an even-par score of 213 (71-72-70). The TCU senior also recorded a seventh-place finish at The Prestige at PGA WEST as well as a 12th-place showing at the National Invitational Tournament. Currently, Woolf is ranked 61st in the country in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.
De Beer was honored with All-Mountain West Conference accolades for the second consecutive season as the TCU sophomore finished second on the squad with a 73.78 strokes average. In his second season with the Frogs, de Beer recorded six top-25 showings, including three finishes in the top-five.
The Pretoria, South Africa, native recorded a season-best showing of third overall at The Prestige at PGA WEST and notched a pair of fifth-place finishes at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters and Morris Williams Intercollegiate. Currently, de Beer is ranked 69th in the country in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.
Woolf and de Beer will return to the links on May 19 when the Horned Frogs make their 21st consecutive NCAA Regional appearance. The Frogs will tee-off at The Traditions Club in College Station, Texas, as the fifth-seed in the NCAA Regional Championships.
