Kristersson Leads TCU At Tiger/Wave Classic

NEW ORLEANS -- Freshman Louise Kristersson shot a career-best 72 to lead the No. 27 TCU women's golf team into a tie for eighth place after Friday's opening round of the Tiger/Wave Classic.
A native of Skivarp, Sweden, Kristersson bogeyed two of her first three holes before going on to record five birdies. Her previous-best round in three tournaments was a 75.
Kristersson is two strokes off the individual lead. Alabama's Brooke Pancake and LSU's Tessa Teachman both shot a 70.
The Horned Frogs totaled a 305 and are in a five-way tie for eighth, 12 shots behind No. 7 Alabama. The Crimson Tide's 293 leads No. 20 LSU by one stroke.
TCU's Brooke Beeler and Rachel Raastad carded a 76 and 78, respectively. Raastad recorded an eagle on the par 5, hole No. 2. Beeler posted three birdies on the day.
