LOS ANGELES -- Thousands of TCU fans spilled into the streets surrounding downtown Los Angeles's LA Live area for a pep rally proceeding Saturday's 97th Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO.
Thousands of the estimated 27,000 TCU fans that purchased tickets to the game helped turned the LA Live area near the team hotel into a Sea of Purple.
"The Voice of the Frogs", Brian Estridge, and TCU radio color analyst John Denton served as emcees for the event, which featured the TCU band, cheerleaders and Showgirls.
TCU Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr., and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Chris Del Conte also took the stage to help fire up Horned Frog fans in advance of Saturday's 4 p.m. CT showdown with No. 5 Wisconsin.
Fans were also treated to an appearance from former TCU offensive lineman Victor Payne, who wore the Purple and White from 1998 to 2001. Payne and company paved the way for TCU all-time rushing champion LaDainian Tomlinson.
