COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- TCU's Brooke Beeler has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for November.
Beeler captured medalist honors in leading TCU to the team championship at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio earlier this month.
Beeler's opening-round 67 was a career-low score and one stroke shy of a TCU record. The junior from Butler, Ill., recorded eagles in second- and third-round play. Beeler's 54-hole score of 4-under-par 212 was a career best.
Beeler became the first Horned Frog to win a tournament since Valentine Derrey at the 2007 Lady Puerto Rico Classic. TCU won its first team title since the 2007 Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C.
Beeler ranks second in the MWC in stroke average at 72.7, and her 67 at the Alamo Invitational ties the low round in the league this year.
This month's honor marks the first MWC Golfer of the Month award for Beeler.
