Volleyball Signs Davis To NLI

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU volleyball head coach Prentice Lewis has announced the signing of Courtnee Davis to a National Letter of Intent. Davis becomes the third member of the 2011 signing class, joining Stephanie Holland and Mattie Burleson.
"We are excited to add Courtnee to the fold," said Lewis. "She is an experienced player who has helped lead her junior college team to national success."
Davis, an outside hitter, transfers to TCU from Panola (TX) Junior College. As a freshman, she helped lead her team to the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament where the top 16 JUCO teams compete for the national title. She was named Co-MVP and earned all-region honors.
This season, Davis has helped lead her team back to the Regional Final. She has put up solid numbers, totaling 331 kills, 368 digs and 43 blocks. Both her kill and dig numbers lead the Panola squad that is ranked seventh nationally.
Davis will be a junior in the fall.
