TCU Names Brogdon and Franz Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH - Rifle's Mattie Brogdon and swimmer Michael Franz have been named TCU's Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 25.
Brogdon recorded a career-high 592 score in the air rifle portion of the competition in TCU's 4675-4663 win over West Virginia.
The junior from Dawsonville, Ga., also posted a score of 575 in the smallbore portion of the competition. She helped the Horned Frogs improve to 2-0 on the season.
In his TCU debut, Franz swam the 500-freestyle and 1000-freestyle events in the 162-138 win over Air Force. The Carmichael, Calif., native started off his night with a 1000-free time of 9:29.74.
That time was good for third on TCU's all-time performance list. In the 500-free, Franz touched the wall first in 4:36.53 for nine crucial team points in the tight dual.
