
Woolf Advances to Round of 32 at U.S. Amateur

TULSA, Okla. - Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.) recorded a victory in the first round of Match Play at the U.S. Amateur and will now advance to the Round of 32 at the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
Woolf - who entered Match Play as the 17th-seed - handed Brady Johnson of BYU a 4&3 setback en route to advancing to the Round of 32. Woolf will square-off against 49th-seed Christopher Ross of Eastern Michigan - who defeated UNC Charlotte's Corey Nagy by a 5&4 count.
Recent TCU graduate James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville H.S.) - who entered the Round of 64 as the eighth seed - suffered a playoff hole setback to Oklahoma State's Peter Uihlein and was eliminated from competition at the U.S. Amateur.
The Round of 32 will begin on Thursday morning at the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
