Crespo Finishes Action At FINA World Championships

ROME, Italy - TCU swimmer Edgar Crespo wrapped up his week with the 200-breaststroke Thursday at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy.
Crespo swam well in the event, taking 58th place out of 86 swimmers, with a time of 2:24.08. Earlier in the week, the Panama City native impressed with a personal-best time in the 100-breast, tapping the wall at 1:02.92, to finish 64th out of 142 swimmers, while also clocking in at 29.01 in the 50-breast to place 67th out of 148 swimmers.
Horned Frog record holder Alejandro Gomez is expected to compete in the 4 x 200-free relay and 1500-free on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
