
TCU Tabbed Preseason MWC Favorite

LAS VEGAS--The Mountain West Conference media have predicted TCU to win the league's football title this fall in the official preseason poll released Tuesday at the MWC Media Days, held at Green Valley Ranch Resort.
The Horned Frogs closed last season with a No. 7 ranking by the Associated Press and USA Today. TCU's 11-2 campaign concluded with a 17-16 Poinsettia Bowl victory over previously undefeated and ninth-ranked Boise State.
Led by consensus first-team All-America defensive end Jerry Hughes, TCU returns four starters from last year's defense which led the nation in total defense and run defense while placing second in scoring defense.
The Horned Frogs have seven returning starters on an offensive unit that set school records for points scored (437) and touchdowns (56).
