
TCU Completes Day One Of NCAA National Championships

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- TCU shot a 314 and is tied for 19th after Tuesday's opening round of the NCAA Women's Golf National Championships.
Freshman Rachel Raastad led the Horned Frogs with a 77. Valentine Derrey and Brooke Beeler carded a 78 and 79, respectively. Derrey tied for sixth with 13 pars on the day.
TCU, making its third-consecutive appearance at the NCAA National Championships, is tied with Texas. The Horned Frogs are 20 shots behind leader Denver.
TCU's second-round tee times begin at 7:50 a.m. Central. Live scoring is available at www.golfstat.com.
Denver shot a 6-over-par 294 for a two-stroke lead over UCLA.
North Carolina's Catherine O'Donnell and Denver's Stephanie Sherlock are tied for the individual lead with 2-under 70s.
