James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville H.S.) was selected as the Mountain West Conference Men's Golfer of the Month for April after recording a pair of top-10 finishes.
The TCU senior led the Horned Frogs to a pair of fourth-place finishes in tournaments that featured 18 teams ranked in the top-50 in the country. Sacheck recorded a ninth-place showing following an even-par score of 213 (69-71-73) at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., to open the month.
In his second outing for the Month of April, Sacheck was the Frogs' top finisher at the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational after finishing eighth overall with a one-under-par score of 143 (69-73) in the rain-shortened tournament.
On the season, Sacheck has been the Frogs' top golfer as the TCU team captain has notched a 72.90 strokes average to go along with a career-high nine top-20 finishes. Earlier this season, Sacheck set a program record with a round of 63 at the TCU-Arizona Dual Match held prior to the National Invitational Tournament.
Sacheck and the Frogs will return to the links on Thursday at the Mountain West Conference Championships held at the Tucson National Golf Resort.
