
TCU Second After Opening Round At MWC Championship

SEASIDE, Calif. -- Freshman Brooke Beeler's 75 led TCU as the Horned Frogs totaled a 305 and are tied for second after Thursday's opening round of the Mountain West Conference Championship.
TCU and BYU are four strokes behind leader New Mexico who shot a 301.
Beeler, from Butler, Ill., recorded a team-high five birdies and is tied for eighth individually. She is five strokes behind leader Jonelle Martinez of Wyoming who shot a 70.
Horned Frog sophomore Prisela Campbell is in a three-way deadlock for 10th after a 76. She birdied the par 4 fourth hole.
Rachel Raastad and Valentine Derrey both carded a 77 and are tied for 13th. Raastad shot par on 13 of her 18 holes.
