
Trio Of TCU Assistant Coaches Recognized

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Footballscoop.com has announced TCU's Jarrett Anderson and Justin Fuente as finalists for Offensive Coordinator of the Year, while Horned Frog assistant coach Dan Sharp is a finalist for Special Teams Coordinator of the Year.
In their first season as co-coordinators, Anderson and Fuente have directed a TCU attack that has set school records for points scored (488) and total offense (5,629 yards).
TCU ranks in the top-five nationally in scoring offense (40.7 points per game), total offense (469.1 yards per game) and rushing offense (256.5 yards per game).
Led by quarterback Andy Dalton, the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year and one of 10 finalists for the Manning Award, TCU has scored at least 38 points in its last seven games. The Horned Frogs have topped the 40-point mark seven times while scoring at least 50 points in four contests.
TCU had four consecutive games in which it topped 300 yards rushing and 500 yards in total offense.
Anderson, also the running backs coach, is in his 12th season at TCU. Fuente is in his third. He is also the quarterbacks coach.
After a TCU Hall of Fame playing career, Sharpe has been a Horned Frog assistant coach for 18 of the last 21 seasons. He's in the ninth year of his second stint at his alma mater.
TCU leads the nation in kickoff return average (30.6 yards) while placing 23rd in punt return average (12.9 yards).
Jeremy Kerley was the Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Year after topping the league in kickoff returns (26.9 yards) and punt returns (14.3 yards). He has returned two punts for touchdowns.
Placekicker Ross Evans, a first-team All-Mountain West Conference selection, is 14-of-17 on field goals, while punter Anson Kelton has placed 16 kicks inside the 20 with just one touchback.
