
Edwards Named MWC Co-Player of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU senior middle blocker Kourtney Edwards has been named MWC Co-Player of the Week for the second consecutive week and the fifth time this season. The honor is the sixth of her career. TCU has six total Player of the Week honors this season.
Edwards, a 6-1 senior from Haltom City, Texas, led the Horned Frogs to a sweep of BYU and a four-set win over Utah last week.
Against BYU, she posted 13 kills at a .400 hitting clip and one block. In the Utah contest, Edwards collected 17 kills with only two errors (.455 efficiency) to go along with three blocks and one dig. In the decisive fourth set, she tallied five kills and a .714 hitting percentage.
On the week, she averaged 4.29 kills, 0.57 blocks and 4.64 points per set, while posting a .431 hitting percentage (30-5-58).
